Insurance

Cancellation

A member is entitled to cancel their insurance policy at any time during the contract period. In order to process the request, we will require written confirmation detailing the reason and date from which this should be actioned. Without this information being communicated in writing cancellations will not be authorised and therefore any outstanding premium will still need to be paid.

This process includes all members including those members cancelling within the 14-day period immediately following their date of inception.

If no payment is received by EY Alliance within 30 Days of inception the Insurance Policy will be unilaterally cancelled, and the member will be deemed uninsured.

Refund

Following a cancellation, a member may be entitled to a proportion of their annual premium in the form of a refund. Should a member cancel their policy within the 14-day period immediately after their inception date and fulfil the eligibility criteria below the full premium will be refunded subject to an administrative fee.

For a member to be eligible for a refund:

  • No known or reported losses which could result in a claim to the insurance policy, and
  • the annual premium has been paid in full with no outstanding balance owed.

On full insurance cancellation the refund will be subject to a £15 administrative fee.

All refunds will be made to the card or account that was used to make the original payment.

Processing of refunds can take up to 21 working days.
